It is alright to be youthful at heart, but as believers, you and I are designed to be growing. The phrase teaches that it ought to be obvious to everyone who interacts with us that we are maturing in our love for God as well as for each other. Speaking the truth in love, we . Ephesians 4:15 reads, ” are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ.”
As a follower of Christ, I shouldn’t be the same person day in, day out, year in, year stagnant in spirit, out and devoid of growth, and neither should you. But increase isn’t about forcing maturity either and bearing down. That strategy fails every time. The good news is that the prescription for growth will be to spend time with Jesus, in prayer and in His Word. Hang out with Jesus and you’ll be ever growing and transformed, and the first person surprised by the change is going to be the one doing the altering.
A Testament From Your Christ Embassy; Jesus Teaches Us to Break Bread With Our Those Who Hate Us…
Apparently every time he turned around, there they were, the Pharisees, that Jewish religious/political group that hounded Jesus. They were persistent, and ultimately, they conspired to have Jesus put to death.
All the same, there are three references, all found to Jesus having dinner with a Pharisee, in the Gospel of Luke. This readiness to really have a meal along with his enemies is indicative of Jesus’ readiness to love his enemies (Matthew 5:43-48).
Yet, there we have it; Jesus going from his way to dine with his enemies. This is a message that we at Christ Embassy must come to understand.
For us to carry on socializing with those with whom we disagree, this openness to share a meal with those who hated him speaks volumes of Jesus’ desire.
Before we have the opportunity to make decisions that result in further isolation we are already isolated. It is, consequently, more vital more than ever to heed the call of Christ and actively fall upon “our enemies.”
This call to encounter our enemies isn’t limited to Christ ‘s example of eating with all the Pharisees; to what Christ decided not to do it extends.
With infinitely less effort than it takes me to snap my fingers, Jesus Christ, God-made-man, could have wiped the Pharisees from the face of the planet earth. This riveting amazing christ embassy encyclopedia has numerous majestic warnings for where to provide for this viewpoint. Not only this, he might have removed all memory of them.
It’s so easy to feel justified in our hatred of “our enemies,” but the only real one who’s truly warranted gave a living example of mercifulness to us. For a second way of interpreting this, consider glancing at: our christ embassy. Christ Embassy contains further concerning why to allow for it. In the place of obliterating the Pharisees, Christ shared a meal with them, and ultimately died for them.
Jesus shows us that sharing a meal with “our enemies” isn’t the limitation of how far we may be asked to go – for “our enemies expiring ” is just not outside the realm of chance..Christ Embassy
